Finding My Voice Again!

Today, I took my nephew to the stadium for football practice. It was his recent birthday, on the 14th of October. I also bought a pair of football studs for him. It’s just a way for me to show my love to my nephew. He likes to play football. When I was a kid, I always loved it when my elder brothers or my uncles brought me gifts. As a child, it always feels great when someone in your family does something good for you.

Love from your parents, which includes your mother and dad, is also great, but it is always sweet and bitter. Your parents will love you, but they will also love to scold you. So as a kid, that relationship is not always good. It is a bit bitter sometimes.

The same is the case right now, where my parents want me to marry as soon as possible, and I’m taking my time. I believe it is my right to do so, and I believe it is very important for me and for whoever is going to live with me. It’s important for her too.

Recently, I started thinking that I want to regain my voice. There was a time earlier when I used to speak very actively. Even right now, I am not sure how to do it, but I think my voice has power. It can always enhance the impact of my words. Of course, it’s not just the voice that makes a difference. Your thought process and how you want to articulate your thoughts make a lot of difference in how things come out.

So I want to capitalise on this. I believe my voice can add real value, and I want to write more blogs and maybe vlogs if I get a decent camera. But in my view, capturing vlogs is cumbersome. You have to live your whole life as a vlogger. Many people do it, and many of them are earning a lot of money. I appreciate the growth they are achieving. But I’m more inclined towards blogs and podcasts. I have no problem doing video logs in the future, but for now, I’m sticking to blogs and podcasts.

One thing I have recently felt is that I no longer like to type a lot on keyboards. I never liked to write a lot, even with a pen. I’ve never been a writer kind of person, but I’ve always been a thinker and a guy with an active imagination. So I want to record my words, and then either release them as they are, or change them into text and put them on my blog. This is the first one I’m going to put on my blog.

For me, this is more of a practice to get my voice back. Not that I need to get it back. I’ve never lost it. But I lost that willingness to put energy into my diaphragm and my vocal cords, and to put my thoughts into words. I want to talk about different topics, and I think I’ll start with my Book on Bitcoin platform.

I’m kind of missing swimming today. My legs and my glutes are feeling the effect of the gym, and I guess my triceps will also start paining. I really love my swimming time. It always fills me with so much happiness and pleasure to see myself getting leaner and fitter day by day. It also gives me energy and determination to be more disciplined and consistent with my goals, and to fall less for cravings.

I love spending time with my friends, and it’s always easy to find a reason to drink with them. But it’s not something you can do forever. You cannot drink every day and still stay healthy. You cannot escape reality and stay healthy at the same time. If there were a drink that gave you a trip like alcohol without the harm, I would happily drink it. One more thing is that with whiskey you start stumbling, and you don’t want that. The problem with intoxication is that you start losing your balance, and if you drive, it gets dangerous. So you have to be responsible as a person, and the police and administration should catch such drunk drivers and put them in jail.

Whenever I go to the gym or go swimming, I believe these activities help me take care of my diet. I feel good, strong and energetic. I think I should keep doing it, and all of us should, whenever we get time.

But I have seen that life is a completely different ball game. You never know what it is or how it will be. You can just focus on a few important areas and keep them strong enough to get stronger. Make them the foundations of your life, and let them drive you and differentiate you through discipline, habits and creativity. Those habits will take you wherever you want to reach.

Something that is also very important: it doesn’t matter how you feel or what you think emotionally. The only thing that shapes us is what we do. So we need to keep our focus on our actions. Whatever steps we take every day eventually become the path we walk. If there’s a place you want to be, or a life you want to live, the most obvious thing to do is to take the best step every day towards that life. And no life is successful unless it is healthy. That’s why you have to focus on specific areas like diet, health and habits.

Talking about work: I work for a bank as a product manager. Product management as a discipline is something I really like. It’s very challenging. It pushes you onto different paths at different moments of the day. At different moments, you have to think from different perspectives and look at the same problem from different angles to make sure you are able to reach your goal successfully. It’s more about solving the problem in your hand, and solving it in a way that it never occur again.

As a product manager, this is what I do, and this is what I like, even though it’s a bit hectic sometimes. Whenever I think about what kind of job I want to do in a company on a day-to-day basis, I always end up concluding that product management is the job for me. The profile gives you the bigger picture, along with accountability. It teaches you critical thinking. This is a mix that very few profiles in the world can provide. A product manager can become anything in the future: a salesperson, a compliance person, anything.

As a PM, at different points of time, you have to wear different hats. You have to flush your cache memory of what you thought in your last call, because sometimes you hop onto a new call with a different agenda and have to take a different point of view. At the same time, there are fundamentals you should always stick to. It’s like a modus operandi: you apply it to different situations and try to get similar results.

For most problems, I give my own structure to the approach. First, I need to understand the problem statement: exactly what problem we are trying to solve, and why we should solve it. What is in it for us, and what is in it for the customer whose problem we are solving? The solution should benefit someone.

Product management also asks you to keep a close watch on what your competitors are doing around the world. It pushes you to stay focused on new technologies, new trends, and what’s actually happening in the world. So, in my view, it’s a good job.

So, yeah, that is a good job today.
I think. It’s good. I think I should, uh, stop it now.

Love and Luck
