COVID 19: Lockdown

What major historical events do you remember?

Hello my dear family, I hope you are doing great. We are in mid week, and I hope you are crushing your daily goals, while marching ahead towards your long term goals.

In our lives, we encounter multiple events, some happen around us and some happen with us. Every event hold a special place in the heart of respective people, but not for all mandatorily.

There is only one historical world changing event, in the history mankind that I have witnessed was the COVID 19 scare, back in 2020.

Mostly, all the events that occur are either anticipated or affect the life of certain group of people, but COVID 19 affected the whole world.

Suddenly, the reality shifted for each one of us. The world became a dangerous place for humans. Earlier humans made the world dangerous for each other, but now an invisible enemy came forward, that humans can’t see, smell, or control.

This suddenly through away all rules and notions that humans created around color, caste, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, etc. and attacked everyone, without discrimination, demonstrating true equality.

Though, this was attack on humanity, the borders of the countries got darker, as every country was left to take care of itself. Deep down every human was left to take care of their own.

Covid 19 being a common enemy did bring humans at one side of the table. But it could not bring humanity together truly.

But, still I apréciate COVID 19, for attacking human made discriminating boundaries, and giving a chance to humanity to look back at the different colours, it had painted itself with.

I wish no other generation would have to see a situation like Covid 19. And our next generations always find earth a safe and habitable home, as it is right now.

My love and wishes to you, for a healthier future. Have a great day.

Love.

  1. Interesting take! I still have great sadness at how the “leadership” of our country used COVID to sow deep divisions. Like anything else, what might we accomplish if we saw ourselves all on the same team?
