Apple – Nike

What brands do you associate with?

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a gala time. I feel associated with 2 brands, Apple and Nike. The reason is very simple, that the ‘values’ of these brands resonate with my own values.

Apple, started by the legendary Steve Jobs, who I consider as my idol. Apple changed the electronics market forever. For me, Apple actually made mobile phones as an extended part of humans. Exactly what was envisioned by the Steve Jobs.

Apple just didn’t make electronics gadgets, it added art, craft, and beauty to it.

Similarly, Nike touches the emotional paradigms of their customers. Apart from creating world class products, it pushes its customers emotionally to push their limits and thrive. It is stylish, and compassionate towards it customers.

Both of the companies were criticised, due to their production practices in eastern countries. But I feel, it was a case of negligence, and was not wilful.

Ofcourse, if someone is promising right quality at the right price, a company would be happy to outsource, especially if it has a-lot of demand, worldwide.

It was those vendors, who exploited their employees. After the issue was brought to light, various measures were taken by these brands for improving the working conditions of these workers.
