Why Relax? When we sleep.

How do you relax?

For me, its 4 things in relaxation.

Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Emotional.

Physical relaxation is when our body is very tired, and we need to take a breath, take a few deep and long breaths. Bring our heart beat to normal, and feel replenished in terms of our physical energy.

Well, I don’t do much for this. Our modern lifestyle already has a lot of moments of physical relaxation.

Mental, is more related to our thoughts, shifting our mind from troubled thoughts, or even good thoughts, to nothingness in our mind. Like completely blank for a while.

For this, I do gym, and recently started swimming, mental relaxation also comes from physical exertion. Sometimes.

Spiritual, is when we do things that align with our values and ethics. It could be related to a religion, if people follow one with complete faith. Or even if it is not spiritual, if we feel our actions align with the ethics of our creator, we are good to go.

Well, as long as we are true to our ethics and values, and focus on enabling others, helping them, rather than undermining them, we are true to our creator. Having a positive mindset towards others and life, is very spiritually relaxing.

Emotional, well it is related to the people we love and care about. How are we receiving the love back, or are we even getting it. When we feel our emotions are getting understood and reciprocated well, we are emotionally relaxed.

This is tricky, but I think if we attempt to put ourselves in others shoes, to understand why someone did, what they did. And focus on giving more and expecting less, we would be sorted in this paradigm.

All in all, I think to relax we need a break. We sleep everyday, so we are actually relaxing our body, everyday.

Hence, I think we should not seek Physical and Mental relaxation everyday. Only when we need it.

On the other hand emotional and spiritual relaxation is something we should look for every moment in which we are conscious.

I wish you that you stay more aware of yourselves and your feelings. And have less wrinkles over your forehead. 😄
