Self-Destruction

4 Minutes Read

Self-Destruction is one of the most sought-after topics in the current time. Especially after the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, people are perplexed about the meaning of happiness.

We admire success stories because they give us the courage to keep going on, they instill our faith in the power of hard work, and how we can make our dreams come true as well, but if people are killing themselves even after reaching success, Is it all a hoax?

Our universe is speculated to be started 13.8 billion years ago when the big bang happened. We the humans appeared on the calendar of the cosmos just now, and are negligible concerning the vastness and awe-inspiring beauty of the universe.

Our planet is just a mote of stardust suspended in the sunbeam. And, the issues we humans bother about are so petty or negligible in the context of our surroundings.

Carl Sagan in his great work epic “Cosmos” said that our universe is brimming with life in isolation. There are other intelligent creatures around us but they are kept too far from each other.

There are almost 100 billion galaxies in the universe, discovered till now, with almost 100 billion more yet to be discovered. Each Galaxy has an average of around 100 billion stars in it. So technically, the chances of life around a star are 100 Billion * 100 Billion.

Without going into mathematics, it is surely a very big number. Hence, the way we see this world is surely not the complete picture. Though God has given us the infinite power to imagine anything, it is still not enough to figure out everything, till now.

Destruction is normal.

We create so many imaginative worlds in our minds, and then we chose one based on our preferences. Now, with time, we may reach the top of our career and then see a downturn.

It is normal and we can consider it like a sinusoidal wave. We are made of stardust, and everything arising in this universe is surely made up of the same material only, if not stardust, they maybe energy.

Everything which moves follows the wave motion of a sinusoidal wave looking from one direction, if we see it from behind, we can see the motion as helix or vortex. The shape of our DNA is a helix, and the way the planet moves around the sun is a vortex.

Our solar system races through the space with the speed of 70,000 km/hr, though it appears stagnant to us, it is constantly moving. One of the crazy facts is that we can’t be at the same spot in the cosmos every second, even if we are lying on the bed, we are sprinting through space.

Hence, the obstacles mental or physical, we feel, or see are there to keep us attached to a unified path forward. we go ‘TO and FRO’ like a pendulum, sometimes at the top of the world, other time at the bottom, and rest, in between.

If things are getting hard, it means we are entering into a tougher game, it is a time to level up our game, and not to quit.

Quitting, is an option?

Suddenly we can see people shouting at the top of their voice that there are serious psychological issues faced by many around us, though no one is coming forward and accepting that they are feeling depressed, but somehow, we all know that people are facing issues.

The fact that we are accepting and repeating that we are depressed is lethal enough to make us unhappy.

Yes, we saw a successful person quitting, but our lives are different, each one of us has different life experiences, and our dreams might be same, but would our stories be ending at the same spot? Not necessarily.

Killing ourselves forcefully is disrespect of this gift of life. It is like we were given a responsibility, power, and privilege but we gave up. Our body is equipped with advanced future technology and if our creator wants to take us back, he/she can easily tweak a bone and we will be gone.

Now our dreams and our imagination are something we made, but this life and this body are not created by us, it is gifted to us, by our creator. Hence, in any circumstances, we can not just throw it away. Yes, death is certain for all of us, but until the time is right, no one can take our life from us.

If thoughts of suicide cross our minds?

Well, by god grace I never felt anything like that, but I have felt the pain of hopelessness and helplessness. It doesn’t matter what is going on in our life, things can change to better. If people are telling you nothing is going to be alright, stop listening to them.

Start listening to yourself, do I want to be in this situation? No. Do I want to be sad and weak? No.

Do I want to cry? Maybe, sometimes. *Its Normal.

But, after everything, do I want to give up, and lose this only chance God gave me? Definitely No.

If anything is certain to happen is death, and though people had some near-death experiences, no one knows what happens after it. Hence, as far as we know, this life is the only chance we have, to feel the magic of this universe, to feel the awakening of the stardust, through our consciousness.

It’s beautiful what we have in us, it is precious, in any case, it is not acceptable to let it go.

So, keep it. And, keep moving.

And, till the time we seek pity, people will shower us with it, before they start ignoring. Hence, when being sad can not solve anything, why be it?

And, even if we get, why to be that way all the time.

If something is harming us? Getup and take the fight, and enjoy life in the meantime. It’s all about the journey.

And, when all hopes are gone, sit tight and say to yourself:

“I will win, if not immediately, but definitely!”
