If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?
Hello my friend, how are you doing today? I hope you are having a relaxing Sunday. Tomorrow is my father’s birthday, and I am traveling back to my home town. Excited.
The title I used is true for both literal and figurative meaning. Firstly, I can’t find a word, I want to remove, and second if there could be any word, I would like to remove is ‘I can’t’. But, I don’t use it as such.
Self sabotaging talks with ourselves is one of the biggest challenge, that slow us down. On the way to our dreams, we should not let ourself to stop ourselves.
I know so many things are better said then done. But, what needs to be done, should be done.
I wish you a great day ahead.
Keep Learning, keep grinding, keep growing.
Love and Luck.

I also hate the word lay when they mean lie. I want to strangle people who do that and almost everyone does it now.

Thanks Isabella for sharing. I hope you are having a good time.
Just curious to know, what wrong do you find with the word gifting?

It sounds to me as the user of this word is trying to be elegant, or to discard a word that that has always been useful, giving. I just gives me the creeps. I am not blaming you or anybody. It just makes me feel weird. I have seen the word gifting used in transactions in which people are giving each other large sums of money or land, property, etc. but not in every day use. I understand that it is not blatantly wrong. This word, there is nothing wrong with it, but it just isn’t comfortable. Thanks.

I hope you won’t feel self-conscious or uncomfortable about using the word “gifting“ if you want to now. It seems to be the present usage, just because I have known it in a different context, doesn’t mean people can’t use it. Either word is all right I think giving or gifting.

And, we all are right in our direction.

I would ban the word “gifting” except in situations, in which a person is giving a large sum of money, or a piece of land to a relative, in the legalistic way, in which this word has been used for a long time. There is nothing wrong with the word giving, & it horrifies me that it has simply disappears.

I love the choice because we live in a world of I can’t and people has gotta think that we surely can.
We gotta stop the pessimism and start being optimistic.
Not only that but there’s also the limiting beliefs that people have and making up excuses.
Start saying “I can”
