Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?
Hello good topic, I gave a speech on it, once when I was doing my MBA. I hope you are having a good time, and you are all set for the weekend to come.
Patriotism comes from the basic need of safety. In my view, when we humans started settling as a groups, and started accumulating resources, the risk of being attacked and lose it all, also arises.
Complete earth is our motherland, but it is important to sustain human societies in a balanced system, that is suitable for people to live and thrive.
Patriotism comes from the desire to keep this bubble safe and prosperous. Help our most immediate people, and in turn help at a bigger scale.
Thanks to internet, the bubble is getting more interconnected with other bubbles. Thanks to transportation, it is not that hard to move physically as well.
Patriotism is important for humans, to stay manageable, focussed, and Prosperous.

You are a lovely and deep thinking man, much more in love with stability than me, but we need to be different. However, I do worry about the uses of patriotism in the Modi camp in India. The India I love fostered the mon-sectarian. Now Ghandi and his love and invitation I to all that is good and peaceful in nature. That’s a different andvtotally locable thing.
