Success strategy in past, may not be true for present.

What’s a topic or issue about which you’ve changed your mind?

Hello my friends, hope you are having a good day today. I was traveling a bit today, and I was partying last night, so got a bit delayed.

Hope Saturday is treating you well. I used to think, that if we have solved a emotional problem in past using a specific strategy, I can use the same to treat any emotional trauma.

The strategy that I applied earlier was to go in my shell, not to share my feelings with anyone, and try to avoid the thought the moment it struck my mind. And, at the same time, hope, that eventually, I will forget everything.

I was able to deal with certain situations in past using this. Though, I remember every bit of everything till now, but I think I was able to get over it.

But, when I tried to apply the same strategy few months back, I failed miserably. Hence, I decided to reverse my approach and to face every bit of pain, of those thoughts and memories.

I think, different strategies are effective in different environments. The situation could be identical, but the environment is never the same.

Like, when we are students, there are so many distractions available for us. And since we are in a learning stage, we are somewhat required to get indulged in those experiences and events. At that time, blocking certain thoughts could be possible and could be fruitful too.

But, when we get into adulthood, we are in a stage to build things, over our learnings. Though, a person is always a student, and should always keep learning, the expectations from a person define his/her approach towards life.

When we are required to build things, we have to cut the distractions and focus on certain areas. We want our body to be a temple of peace and joy.

At this time, when we are converging our energies inward and toward a certain goal, if we try to avoid certain thoughts, they can make our temple of peace, a miserable place to be.

And hence, rather than avoiding something, we have to give ourselves time and opportunity to face and treat these thoughts. We may give us sometime and moments of weakness, having this faith in ourselves, that we are not deviating from our path, rather we are doing much needed maintenance service.

At certain point of time, we have to pamper ourselves and make us our first priority. Especially when we are down, and we don’t have a lot of people around us to share our pain, we have to push ourselves to heal ourselves.

I wish that you overcome every challenge in life. And, I would love to know, how you heal yourself emotionally, when it is needed the most.

Let’s help each other win.

Love and blessings.

  1. Loved your post! Two key takeaways for me..! Past strategies don’t always fit today. We need to adapt as we evolve. 2. Introspection and self-care are vital for genuine healing…! Thanks for sharing! – Nexa
