Happiness! – Not a Technology Blog.

Hello, my fam, I hope you are doing great and killing it, every day.

It’s been a while since we talked other than my love, Blockchain Technology. So, I thought, to just check in with you. How has it been with you? I know, it must have been a roller coaster ride, I hope you are enjoying it, or at least trying to.

Following any hobbies, yet? Or something that makes you happy or content. Could be anything, that you love to do. Could be Gym, watching Instagram reels, painting, writing, collecting pebbles, reading, watching movies, sports, video games, trading, or whatever. I hope that you are making sure that from the only 24 hours that are available with you in a day, you are at least taking out an hour for just yourself.

I hope you are regularly meeting your friends and family. And sharing your heart with them, which you might not like to do in front of everyone. I agree that we might, cannot share everything with one person, but we can surely share everything, in bits and pieces with a closed group of our confidants. It is important that we keep our mind light, and heart cherished.

I developed a habit of reading books, many of my friends just hate reading, and they feel like reading is something not for them. Maybe we’re just thinking of scholars, geeks or nerds with thick eyeglasses as readers. I like to read because it helps me exercise my power of imagination and creativity. I have said this in the past as well, when we see with eyes, we are generally observing someone else’s imagination. Reading on the other hand can give us the fodder to create our own imagination.

I recently completed a very popular book ‘The 50 Shades of Grey’. Since I have seen the movie first, I found it hard to replace the faces of the characters, but other than that every scene of that erotic story was different in my imagination. Wink.

Currently, I’m reading ‘The Secret’, many of my friends have told me that it is a nice book, and it is indeed. It’s a very popular book, many claims that it is life changing. Well, if it is, or not, we will eventually find it out. But I really liked some of the concepts that were discussed in the book.

Happiness Hack!

Yes, you heard it right. I never could have imagined in the wildest of my imagination, that there can be a hack for happiness. I read it in the recent book that I am reading, and I think this is the best part about reading books, that you can ponder upon a lot of new and unique ideas to improve yourself. And it is my habit, Whenever I come across a nice concept, I don’t take too long, to share it with my beloved readers. In my way, of course. 🙂

Before we start talking about the hack towards happiness, it is very important to understand what happiness could be in actual terms.

I hope you would agree, whatever happened in the past, does not exist, other than in our memories, and whatever will happen in the future also does not exist, other than in our thoughts. So, we are back to that cliché, ‘life is in the present moment’. So whatever happiness could be, we can only feel it in the present moment. Knowing this, now, we can talk about the hack towards happiness.

I have heard from many people that to feel good now, we should try to divert our mind towards the good things, good thoughts, and good memories. But we all know, how hard it is to control our thoughts. People say, that through meditation we can control our thoughts, and I agree it could be a way, but it is still a hard path to travel.

Hence, I like the alternate approach to feeling happy now, and that approach is Gratitude. Just start saying ‘Thank You’……………

Yes of course many of the things that we want, didn’t go as planned, but the almighty God or the nature, has still given us a lot of things to cherish. To start with we can surely thank God for giving us a life, thank our parents for raising us right, thanks for the healthy body we are wearing, thanks for the sharp mind we possess, thanks for meeting some of the crazy people in our life, thanks for the lessons learned, and the list will go on.

I understand that some of the above-mentioned things would not be true for everybody, as the story of everyone is different. But while you would be going through this list, thanking, and showing gratitude towards the good things you did manage, observe the sensations that your body is feeling. And my friend if you ask me? This is happiness.

I hope that you will agree, we become sad when we shift our focus from the things that make us happy, towards the things that make us sad. This also means that the reverse of this will also be true, that is we can feel happy, when we shift our focus from the things that make us sad, towards the things that make us happy. Why can’t we just like meditation make gratitude our way of life? Why can’t we take out 30 seconds from our day, and simply express gratitude?

And, once we acknowledge that feeling of happiness in us, by practising gratitude for a small amount of time. why can’t we cling to that feeling and sustain it?

For me, happiness is to feel blessed in the present moment, we must ensure that we keep feeling the same in the moment that is about to come. I never want to give fugazi philosophical blabber to my readers, I want to talk logic, I want to talk reason, and I want to talk common sense.

This is the reason why I always try to connect philosophical thoughts with the fundamentals of reason. So far, none of us have managed to understand the life, how things happen, how the things happened, happened and, how the things will happen. Hence every point of view is important and should be cherished in my view.

If you also have identified a hack that helps you feel good through your experiences and learning in life. I would be more than happy or I should rather say, I would be elated to hear from you. Feel free to reach out and connect.

Till that time my fam, I wish you lots of love and blessings.

XOXO.
