Finally, we are here. You have got great quality in your work because of your efforts to align your job with the business objectives of that task. And, since you own your craft and take full responsibility of your deliverables (Whaeva shit you are doing), This makes you a reliable person to serve with. A faithful companion with great work quality isn’t it something, every ideal job profile wants? But is this it? Of course not, You haven’t reached your highest potential till now.
You want to grow up right? Good! If you have missed the story until now? We live in stories here, So, better also have a look at the starting and interval of this story, before triumphing in the climax.
Starting off of our journey: Pawn to Queen: Part-1
Now it is time to build yourself! Let’s start. Shall we?
Be you: Don’t fake
You have built yourself as a great solution provider, with your broad business awareness of the implication of your task, and since you own your work, you are a reliable person to give a job too. So, now its time to build yourself, to go to the top, because it’s just not about your work, it is also who YOU are!
You are a survivor of a certain small or big city, or a village, where you have spent your childhood. Living there, you have acquired some traits, like you could be a Gujarati, with money minded thoughts, etc. etc.
So, it is you, with some added traits, after you went through formal education, basically increased the size of your interaction, with people of diverse mindset. This is a new you! A better you! A stronger you!
So be yourself, be transparent, no one likes fake people, no matter how much they try to hide, it is very evident. So, “Even if they don’t like you, they should trust you”, that yeah, this guy/babe is an asshole, but you can expect certain good things from him/her, for sure.
You have no idea, how differently people will perceive this if you are doing good, and you ever got to lead those people, they will follow you. Though they don’t like you personally, they know that in the end, you will produce something good, as the end product.
This is what you want to do? Right? Lead people, and inspire others. Isn’t it something we all want to do? #food for thought
If it’s you then everyone should know it’s you: Communication
Oh! Wow, you are feeling good? But do you just want to lead these many people, don’t you want to grow, and do something great, something big? For that, you have to communicate yourself, around you, spread the word type shit.
Way to do that? If it is you, everybody should know it, that it’s you who did that. Suddenly, there is a new requirement and your lead marked you in an email. It is evident that he wants you to take it up, but there are so many people cc’d in that email. Some big shots, senior managers, or maybe your company’s CEO too, and you are frightened now. If something goes wrong, I am going to die.
Don’t be a pussy to send your completed work to your manager, privately.
Reply on that initial mail, in front of everyone, that this is my work, whoever wants to, have a look, Be my guest. A great piece of art, a fucking Monalisa. Once you get the visibility around that upper hierarchy, things will be starting to grow for you.
Don’t worry, your lead won’t mind it. Actually, no one wants to hide someone else works, or falsely claim that it is their work, you don’t want to own the errors in that work or that work quality. Hence, people try to avoid such a thing.
But, if you are yourself little bit insecure, or low in confidence, you might try to showcase yourself by someone else’s work. So, just check how your manager is. And act accordingly.
I don’t want to implicate that you have to bypass your lead, He/she is your manager, your leader. GIVE him that RESPECT.
And, spread the good words, babyyyy! Mmmuuuaaahh!! My tigress!!

Step up: Lead
Great, you are proven! Now, seek for a chance to lead up the ladder. There will be times when your team will be in some problem, step up at that time, A great leading opportunity. Trust me!
It could be something new, people are reluctant to disturb their daily routine and pick an extra responsibility, Step up!
These small step ups, are actually taking you to heights of success. You don’t know it yet, but you will, you will connect the dots, one day. So, Chill for now.
Stepping up and taking responsibility for something, which is new and has some uncertain results, is a great chance to grow yourself. and with your work, make those results prosperous and favorable.
Awesome! Everything is in place, now continue doing this, Whatever we discussed in this Blog series, It is not a one-time activity, It is a way of life. No one else can teach you that, they can indicate you and you have to figure out how to implement it, in your own story. You also have a story right?
Keep your standards high in your profession, and try to find every chance of fun you want, in the rest of the time. Something like, Work Hard, Party harder! Enjoy life, it is a great place to be.
I wrote these three articles of this blog series, to share my imagination, and being totally opposite of every other career guru sitting there, I am just like you. Hence, I will not say, it is the constitution of how to be successful. It is for you to decide, make your own versions and fucking execute them.
